I just went to my local natural store and got myself some coconut oil to start using in place of oils and butters when cooking. Mine is organic and so there is more of a coconut flavor to it, but you can buy others that don't have a strong coconut flavor. Coconut oil is a good fat, somewhat like avocados. I used it last night on air popped popcorn instead of using butter. I thought it was good and it cured my sweet craving I was. Plus, it was a VERY healthy snack! :) So I had a friend on Facebook, who is wonderful with the oils, post this news clip and so I wanted to share it with you as well.
